Mon - Beach Drive

After the BBQ at Ps Ken's place, our driver a.k.a. Voon Zhen Yi collected his test-drive car and we drove out to the beach.. Jon, Andrew, Daniel, him and me.. maybe it was because it was Full Moon's eve, or maybe it was just the adventurous vibe that comes on the first day of holidays! =)

Elwood beach was quite disappointing.. so we moved to Brighton Beach (i think?).. it was AMAZING..

The cool air..
the salty scent..
the calm breeze..
the sparks on the horizon..

the gritting of shivering teeth..
alternating between freezing words
and chewing of Mc Fries..

Mon - OCF Berwick's BBQ

BBQ @ Ps Ken's place

[ 5 - 11pm ]

Ps Ken was so gracious to open his house up for BBQ.. with his secret recipe self-marinated meat and garlic rice! =D

besides makaning, it was also a nite of thanksgiving to God for making a way for OCF Berwick to get registered.. so grateful for the people He has set in our ways and the doors He has led us to. we're not exactly there yet, but we're stating our claim and sealing it in faith! =)

..waiting in anticipation.. look at the happy faces..

it came to my attention that doing the dishes may be an asian or maybe malaysian "culture" that is proudly passed down to us.. for me, it's not only courteous to clean up after our own mess, but also a sign of gratefulness to the hosts for their hospitality.. so always remember to offer to do the dishes - even when they insist for you not to! =)

watching the Australian Idol kick-out results on the church's LCD player.. hehe..

we had a solid 1 hour medley of songs afterwards.. inspired by Aus idol?? nah, we're singing in a race where no one gets kicked out, cuz we've all been voted in by the One and Only true vote that counts - by Jesus himself! =)

Tues - Kidz Day

i dare say that kids have been my passion for quite some time now.. being with them.. working & playing with them.. something about their innocence and non-hypocrisy that i adore.. they are truly blessings that can brighten up your darkest days.. =)

was truly humbled and honoured by Aunty Carol's invitation to join the kids ministry in church.. the answer is a definite Y-E-S! cuz i believe it's more than just singing kiddie songs or playing fun games or telling animated Bible stories.. so SO much more..

it's literally sowing into God's kingdom.. preparing a place for children to come to know God on their own terms.. playing a part in building the foundation of the next Jesus Generation..

"Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it."

so yeah, right now i'm just praying about how big a portion of my "cake" should i give to this ministry.. =)
